Last year, the US space agency NASA discovered a mysterious area on Mars that looks like a spider's web. The spider's web on Mars is actually a type of crystalline mineral structure. Recently, NASA's Curiosity Rover took pictures of a mysterious area on Mars that looks like a spider's web.
NASA said that the interesting geological structure on Mars is like a spider's web or honeycomb. The 360-degree image taken by the rover's mast camera is being analyzed. It is believed that such a strange structure is formed due to minerals. This structure was formed due to rock erosion due to groundwater on Mars billions of years ago.
According to NASA, various minerals in the water accumulated inside the rock and became hard like cement. Then, it was gradually eroded by the wind, forming a spider-like structure. The Curiosity rover is currently working to unravel the mystery of a huge crater called ‘Gale Crater’.
The Curiosity rover landed on Mars in 2012. Since then, the rover has been collecting various data about the Martian environment. The rover is currently analyzing the boxwork pattern, a series of low ridges on Mars.
